Spring Equinox & Mercury Retrograde For A Powerful Start Of The New Astrological Year

Spring is the time for rebirth and rejuvenation. As the nature around you begins a new cycle, so are the stars and planets.

The spring equinox is also the time which is used to mark the beginning of a new year in the astrological context. And this year the spring equinox is going to take place on the 20th day of March.

March is the month when you should be taking a long hard look at your life and what new things you want to achieve. It is about starting afresh. Just like the plants shrug off the last of the frost, so should you.

Because it is the time of the astrological New Year, you will find yourself to have the energy which is required to take new steps in life. Of course this is valid only when you are willing to put the effort required to see the results that you are hoping for.

The spring equinox also happens to fall on the same day as the International Astrology Day. Another remarkable thing about this year’s equinox is that it will be soon followed by Mercury going into retrograde, exactly 2 days after the equinox, on 22.

The impact Mercury has on us is to face those truths that we try to hide. Meaning, though we want to have a new beginning with the equinox, but we won’t be able to leave behind the things that we want to until we have resolved them. It will help us cleanse ourselves of the issues we have been suppressing within us.

Mercury retrograde will take place in Aries. Aries gives us direction and it will be directing us towards a specific issue that we need to be facing.

It might be a bit uncomfortable at first but we need to let these powers do their work. And our future will be much simpler for it.
