On April 17th 2018, at approximately 9.09am GMT Chiron moves from the ethereal and indefinite waters of Pisces, to begin a new Astrological Cycle in the Cardinal Fire sign of Aries, where it will remain until April 2027.

Taking Fifty years to complete a full cycle of the horoscope, Chiron, maverick wanderer of our solar system, has been identified since his discovery with the archetype of the wounded healer.

Chiron in Aries transit is one of the most important events of 2018. Chiron will enter Aries on 18 April 2018 and will leave Aries on 14 April 2027.

Chiron goes retrograde on 5 July 2018 and moves back into Pisces from 26 September 2018 to 18 February 2019.

During its long stay in Aries, Chiron does not make any major aspects with slow-moving planets. This means that Chiron will express itself freely, in all its might.

Chiron in Aries is where you feel you don’t have the right to be yourself. Aries is concerned exactly with the affirmation of the self but Chiron will challenge this affirmation of the self, with the purpose of finding a higher order.

Aries is the 1st sign of the zodiac – is all about the individual, about impulse, passion, instinct, “Me first” attitude.

Aries in where we assert ourselves, where we go for what we want, where we draw borders to express our uniqueness.

Aries is the very first sprout to emerge from the soil in the spring, choosing life, choosing to ‘get out there’ into the world and express itself.

Chiron is where we feel wounded, ashamed, broken and inadequate.

Chiron will challenge Aries’ expression of the self, expression of individuality.

If you were born between 31st March 1968 and the 29th March 1977, you probably have Chiron in Aries, and as Chiron re-enters the sign that it was in at your birth, this means that within the next nine years, that you will experience your “Chiron Return”, a rite of passage that we all encounter at fifty years of age.

Chironian themes become deeply personal in the first sign of the zodiac, our very existence questioned and challenged by the opinions of others and by our own indecision and vacillation. We struggle to form a cohesive identity, and sometimes it can take all our energy and effort, just to remind ourselves of who we are, and that we have a right just to “be”.

Seen by others as fair minded and harmonious, the Chiron in Aries individual may well have fallen into trying to be all things to all people, as they often hate to disappoint, and may spend their early lives striving to live up to the opinions of others, forgetting along the way, that it is only their own opinion of themselves which is really important.

Often a highly social person, the Chiron in Aries person, often has a fear of being alone, as if they anticipate that without the “reflection of other” that they crave, that they might actually cease to exist.

The generation born between 1968 and 1977 has Chiron in Aries. This was a turbulent time period. Children born and growing up during this era had to deal with both cultural and economic struggles. That era was a time of breaking free from the traditions of the past.

You’ll be surprised at how the same person who told you to “suck it up” can actually help you through some tough times. People with Chiron in Aries radiate enough healing energy to touch those around them.

Actually, in Aries, Chiron doesn’t just heal, but it can regenerate and revive.

People with Chiron in Aries can teach us how to quickly move beyond our pain.
